Depending on soil type, consistent applications of lawn fertilizer provides a nutrient base to grow a healthy turf. An application of a properly formulated lawn fertilizer, a minimum of two times a year to not more than 4 times, allows the turf to grow at a consistent rate. Properly coordinated, a lawn will need less water and have fewer problems. Unfortunately, due to the multiple variables between lawns and weather there is no absolutely perfect weed control. Proper application of appropriate weed prevention products at least twice a year will eliminate most weeds. Weed control goes hand in hand with fertilization and mowing.
